I appreciate you. I don’t say it enough to my students. I should say it every day. Let me edit that: I should say it every day to every student.
While working with them can be challenging, I never stop appreciating them. No matter what is going on outside of the classroom, they always make the day better. I’m not saying it’s easy. I’m saying that I appreciate them.
I appreciate them for who they are.
I appreciate them for their individuality.
I appreciate them for their humor.
I appreciate them for putting up with me.
I appreciate them for letting me teach them.
I appreciate them for teaching me.
I appreciate them for challenging me.
I appreciate them for giving me feedback.
I appreciate them for making their learning public.
I appreciate them for being a part of my life.
I appreciate them for letting me know when I do something wrong.
I appreciate them for laughing at me (there is a lot to laugh at).
I appreciate them putting up with my jokes.
I appreciate them for letting me in their lives.
I appreciate them for working their understandings of history.
I appreciate them for wrestling with big questions that don’t have easy answers.
I appreciate them advocating for themselves.
I appreciate them for making me listen.
I appreciate them asking questions.
I appreciate them for making my life better.
I appreciate them for supporting me in my learning.
I appreciate them for their learning.
I appreciate them for learning together.
