Day 120

The student contribution is from Haley and Natalia

In class today we looked at the picture below and were asked to make inferences about this picture. At the moment are starting to about World War ll. We worked with our table partners to be able to grasp the knowledge of what when on during World War ll. We looked at how the deaths affected the population in the different alliances. We worked together with our table partners to be able to grasp the knowledge of what was going on in WWII. Also working with our partners gave us ways to bounce ideas off each other to give different perspectives.

BIG Learning

I love using I think, I see, I wonder. You display an image, chart, map, graph, or reading and ask them to write down what do they see, what are thinking, and what questions do they have. It allows all learners a way to interrupt without judgement. It’s a great way to get them thinking and share with each other their thoughts. As a teacher, I can see what they are thinking, what information they are using to understand, and if they are curious about anything.
